【本書のポイント】

アジア全般及び東アジア・東南アジア・南アジア各国における、新型コロナウイルスへの法的及び政策的な対応に関する論文をまとめた資料である。中国では流行当初から大規模な監視技術の使用や自治体の封鎖を行い、韓国では接触追跡などの技術を持つ民間部門と緊密に連携して対応を行った。また、中国・台湾・香港では流行の早い段階でそれぞれ情報の取扱いやマスメディアの役割に大きな違いがみられた。本書はこのようなアジアにおける法律及び政策の背景と対応を分析し、政策立案におけるテーマと課題を確認することを目標にしている。また、政策とその実施状況や現状との折合いについて、整理・比較・評価を行っている。
