主な内容

米国戦略爆撃調査団の軍事分析課（Military Analysis Division）が行った太平洋戦争中の各地域の日本陸軍航空部隊（海軍航空部隊の本土防衛を含む）に関する質問への回答文書。回答文書は、陸軍航空隊中央の参謀が中心となり作成され、編制、配置、幹部の氏名、兵力、作戦計画の要点について簡潔にまとめられている。軍事分析課の質問文や回答の日本語原文は収録されていない。
撮影時に回答書のNo. 1とNo. 18は行方不明であった。
